Long lost Irani Joints.

Over the last couple of years, the Irani Restaurants are dwindling very rapidly and are being replaced by the modern day coffee shops like 'Barista' & 'Cafe Coffee Day'(CCD, as we popularly call it).

Now, the Irani Restaurants have(or rather had!) a very distinguishing feature - almost 95% or more of these joints are(or were!) located at corners.... In Mumbaiya istyle Hindi, 'corner' means 'Naka'.
In these Irani Restaurants people savoured coffee over discussions for hours together. Also, a common feature of these joints is their ambience - the same old oak wooden tables(usually round ones) & chairs, the antique rusty looks and not to forget, the least bothered lousy waiters....
One such model restaurant is "Kayani & Co" near Metro Cinema where I have killed dozens of hours with pals.... Being a "Pure" Vegetarian, I don't have much choice here but nontheless, I Enjoy this place....

ENJOy....
