Mar - keting "Ghoda"

Where is marketing heading? It seems that the theories of marketing are used for a different purpose altogether.
I stumbled upon this 'offer' in the newspaper.....
If you buy 1 kilo of narco, you get a .9mm pistol(ghoda as in the bhai language) free!!!! I was stunned.... what was this????
I am sure the land below marketing gurus feet must have slipped.....
I am devoid of words....what more should I say.....

Quoted by Pervez.

I came across this funny thing in Hindustan Times. Go on and ENJOy.....

QUOTE - MISQUOTE Pervez Musharraf
"At the end of the day, I am a soldier and I like to wear uniform. It is part of myself, my being and, in fact my second skin."

What he really meant
Democracy in Pakistan? Are you crazy? What will I do? Take orders from civilians like I used to when Pakistan was a mess?

What he definitely didn't
I tried wearing Nawaz Sharif's waistcoats & sherwanis. Too itchy!
And Imran's Pathan suits let in a draught!

This definitely proves beyond doubt that over the years, Pervez has learned this 'dirty' politics and I think he has proved better than all the others till date.
Whatever he is or his country is like, I hope that the Kashmir issue is solved permanently with acceptance by both accross the border.

Beating Inflation..... But how????

Today I read in the newspaper that the centre has okayed import of wheat and sugar with no limit on the import volumes.
Also, export of pulses is banned and some 45,000 tons of urad dal and gram are being imported immediately. Sugar exports, though haven't been banned!!!!!
The first line says import sugar and last says allow export of sugar also.
Now, since there must be a sugar deficit therefore it is going to be imported. So, where is sugar to export......
Something fishy is going on.... you never know whats in the mind of a politician(one only), so its impossibe to judge whats in the minds of these hundreds of politicians.....
I mean there is no point importing and exporting the same thing.

Does anyone have any explanation for this????

Law and Order is a Joke.

Often it is seen that the Law enforcers are the one's who break the Laws....
who will take care of them????
Police and traffic Police often ride in the wrong direction....
I have seldom seen them with helmets while driving.....
Also, while on duty, i have rarely seen traffic police wearing helmets....
who will enforce law on them?

"Laws are made to be broken"..... is this what they follow????

Whats Missing????

A wierd thought came to my mind. Previously, why is that people never felt the need for TV, music systems, PC with internet, etc., etc....???? Even without all these they were satisfied and lived a happy life.
Is it that they worked more than what we do today, hence sparing them no time for all the electronic entertainment gadgets. Well, I don't think this was the case. Agreed, most of these devices were absent in that era, but the point here is that they lived a much much happier life.
I guess they had much more free time than us. And, in this free time, they socialised much more than us. While they had long chats(in person), we have virtual chats(messengers). While they used to play cards, we play those stupid PC games. While they visited 'mela' and 'natak', we fiddle with remote surfing innumerable channels.
We are just waiting for a spare minute..... as soon as we find one, either the PC or the TV clicks ON.
Aggred that our grand and great grand parents lived in a different world altogether, but i guess simplicity was the key to their happy lives.
It is like the saying "It is so simple to be happy, but it is so difficult to be simple"

Met Dept. in a pickle.....since the rains are fickle !!

Over the years, the Metrological Dept. has built a great image for itself.... Well, when it broadcasts heavy to very heavy rains, we can conveniently roam outside with no need of umbrellas also. But, if it broadcasts clear skies with a drizzle or no rain, then BEWARE.....

Last week, our 'beloved'(is he really?) municipality comissioner Jonny Joseph had sent sms to everyone regarding heavy rains in the next 24/48 hrs and he had advised people not to venture out far unless utmost necessary.
This was a very convenient attempt to cover up their undone work. How is it possible that there is water logging right in the first rain????
All thanks to the selling of playgrounds and other such land by the government to private builders so that we have huge towers. But, while doing so, the govt. is not only killing a means of entertainment for young boys and girls but also it is reducing the free land which used to seep in thousands of gallons of water.
Also, instead of finding a permanent solution to the water logging problem, some temporary measures are taken in which they are happy..... They have hired hundreds of life guards to save people in case there is 26/7 mayhem again(I pray it never happens again). lifeguards!!!!!! are we on a voyage in the sea????

These avarice driven politicians don't have even a hint of shame. The disaster management was the biggest disaster & still they are asleep, ignorant.....(all busy filling their own pockets out of the contracts, etc.)
And, sitting in air-conditioned offices & homes, they dream of making 'MY Bombay' - Shanghai !!!!! hahaha...... ridiculous.
There is no cost or tax for dreaming(even if there was, it makes no difference to them..... ultimately who would have paid? WE).

It is said that "Dream of the skies and you'll atleast land on the tree tops"
But here it seems that "They are dreaming much beyond the skies and surely they have landed BELOW the ground"

Friends, its all in our hands...... Stand up and VOTE for a better tomorrow.....
